Come hear stories directly from people who've spent time in solitary confinement on Wednesday, May 13th, 5:30-8:30, at PSU. There will be a film screening of Herman's House beginning at 6:00 followed by a panel discussion. There will also be a replica cell, calls to action, and poetry, art, and ideas for alternatives to solitary from people currently in solitary. We are collecting books to build libraries for solitary confinement units in Oregon prisons -- so if you plan to attend, please bring books to donate! oh! And there will be good food (free from the student-run Green Roots Cafe). This event will be free and open to the public.
