Yale Union
Yale Union is pleased to announce the first institutional solo exhibition in the United States by Dutch artist Willem Oorebeek. The show will consist of two series of works that have occupied Oorebeek for the last fifteen years: The Vertical Club, and BLACKOUT. Willem Oorebeek was born in 1953 in Pernis, Holland. He studied at the Academy of Art in Rotterdam, and has taught at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, De Ateliers in Amsterdam, and the Hochschule der Künste in Hamburg. He has had solo exhibitions at S.M.A.K., Ghent, Belgium; Witte de With, Rotterdam, Holland; Culturgest, Lisbon, Portugal; and Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe, Germany.
