The Concerned Indian Committee invite Standing Rock supporters to join together for a peaceful walk, sacred blessing of the water, and to enjoy performances from the local Native and indigenous commuity, as a fundraiser for the Standing Rock camp against DAPL. The Native American Veterans will be with us, as well as Buzz Nelson who is the grandfather of both the treasurer and president of the Lakota Sioux tribe at Standing Rock. 10am - Meet at Tom McCall Waterfront Park fountain with your families, signs, banners, and money donations. 10:45am - Native singers will begin singing and the group will walk together accross the Hawthorne Bridge to the Vera Kata Esplanade on the east side of the waterfront off of Grand and Salmon. 11:15am - Buzz Nelson and other elders will lead the group to blessings of the water and traditional prayers. 12pm-3pm Native and Indigenous groups will perform. The Standing Rock protest is based on common concern for clean water, peace, unity, and prayers. Aggression, acts of violence, and conflict will not be tolerated. A special interstate caravan is being organized carefully by the elders and further information will be provided at the event. Invite your friends, family members, and the media. This affects all of us. For questions call or text: Brandie 503-608-9060 https://www.facebook.com/events/627719347400380/

Back from its Pedalpalooza postponement! Hey, Hey, Hey Ladies! Bring your bikes, your sound systems, and your female-fronted tunes. Dress as a lady who you think is incredibly awesome! Guys are welcome, too. We'll meet at Vera at 2:00 and ride at about 2:30. Expect a beverage stop, some fountains and parks and such. Stay with us long enough and we’ll end up at Velocult! You know the drill: slow pace, not a loop, bring sunscreen/water/snacks, etc. http://www.facebook.com/events/348056768649867/
