It's time to do another 420 Mystery Ride! And Hempstalk is THIS weekend!! It is an awesome weed & hemp focused outdoor festival. Be prepared for awesome live music, 100's of vendors, food, medicated goodies, hemp & legalization education, speakers, political reps, and much more! We will meet in North Portland & will take a very beautiful scenic ride to Hempstalk located at Kelly Point Park. More info on Hempstalk: Two Days of Hemp and Music Free For All Ages September 7-8 Kelley Point Park Portland, Oregon (Confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers) You are not allowed to park at Kelly Point Park during Hempstalk & now they are asking people to take the Max to the Vanport station or park nearby (good luck!) and catch a shuttle bus that takes you into the park; but then you still have to walk at least a mile with a whole bunch of slow people, into Kelly Point Park to get to where Hempstalk is held. The bike connection trail to Kelly Point Park is located very close to Columbia Park. I decided to do a last minute meeting location change to make it easier for people who came last time & it can be difficult to find Trenton. So let's meet at the same 420 mystery ride meeting point - in Columbia Park, closest to N Lombard/N Woolsey, inside the park, near the bench, under the big tree on the right. It's an easy place to meet, it is shaded, & it's a safer place to gather with our bikes. At about 11:20 we will head to Kelly Point Park together, with a few toking breaks along the way. **IF you are running late, we will be taking the following route to a break point: N Woolsey towards Columbia, Left on Willis. RIGHT on Portsmouth (bike lane). Cross Columbia to the Columbia Crossing Trail towards Kelly Point Park. Wind your way along the rail road tracks, stay to the Right at the forks in the path. There should be an industrial plant on your left. Stop right before the bridge that takes you across the slough. There are some giant steps that go down to the water. We will be hanging out there before heading towards Kelly Point Park. I am going to attempt to post a map on the event page.** There is plenty of parking all along Woolsey & the other streets that surround Columbia Park. It is a relatively safe place to leave a vehicle, as long as valuables are out of sight, locked up. Bring water & snacks for the ride, as well as herb to share & something to lock your bike up when we get to Hempstalk. There are supposed to be bike racks there. There are also lots of trees, and we could lock bikes to one another as well. :)
