During the week of September 15th world leaders met in NYC for another UN climate change summit. While the people's demand for a world safe from the ravages of climate change are louder than ever, shamefully, every single global climate change summit has completely failed to solve the looming climate catastrophe. The urgency of this situation demands that workers and students alike look to each other to save our planet. Join in a critical discussion with Bill Hopwood, Canada's leading socialist environmental activist, and learn more about how socialism and the 99% can help stop climate change. This event is sponsored by the Portland branch of Socialist Alternative, the first national organization to elect a socialist in a major US city in decades, Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant.
