Join us as part of a community canvass to go door-to-door and talk to people in the St. Johns neighborhood about climate change. We will talk specifically about the fossil fuel export terminals that are already impacting this neighborhood which has oil trains coming through every week en route to the terminal at Port Westward and the planned export of coal through the Pacific Northwest. We will also discuss how communities are already feeling the impacts of climate change, direct action and ways to get involved, including forming study groups. Please meet at the NE corner of Northgate Park near the intersection of N. Clarendon Ave. and N. Fessenden St. You'll be provided with a script - a short rap about the issues - and we'll do a short training before we begin. Bring water, a snack, and good shoes! Pizza will be provided by Vincente's Pizza after the canvass! This event is organized by the Hella 503 Collective, the Parasol Climate Collective and Portland Rising Tide. http://www.facebook.com/events/178747418974667/
