Come learn to make your own homemade sauerkraut. Interest in fermented foods is growing as more people begin to understand the benefits of good probiotic bacteria in our diets. Sauerkraut is an easy way to start. Making it at home is fun, inexpensive and requires nothing more than cabbage, salt and time. Kitchen Share volunteer Emily Bean will share what she's learned from her experience and get you going on your first batch. Everyone will leave ready to start with a jar of their own! Expand your summer grilling skills with a quick flatbread you cook on the grill and techniques for the perfect grilled vegetables. Returning Kitchen Share instructor and professional chef Chris Bailey will demonstrate the process of making a flatbread from scratch, marinating and grilling vegetables, and even making a grilled vegetable pizza on a charcoal grill.
