Come join Johnson Creek Watershed Council and the City of Gresham improve the health of Johnson Creek as we mulch hundreds of trees and shrubs!! Mulch helps suppress weed growth and is a great way to recycle organic matter! Come join Johnson Creek Watershed Council to celebrate Earth Day and World Fish Migration Day by removing invasive species from our watershed. World Fish Migration Day: The World Fish Migration Day is a one day global-local event to create awareness on the importance of open rivers and migratory fish. Connecting Fish, Rivers and People Earth Day: April 22 marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Project: Come help us celebrate Earth Day and World Fish Migration Day by removing yellow flag iris, ivy, holly, blackberry, and wisteria from our watershed that supports fish migration. Note: Please wear rubber boots and/or shoes you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. Instruction, tools, gloves, water and coffee/tea provided.
