OPS's performance of All's Well That Ends Well
Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2-4:30pm
**FREE Shakespeare in the Park** Original Practice Shakespeare Festival is dedicated to bringing a new style of Shakespearean performance to the Portland area by reviving the old. When Shakespeare originally penned and performed his plays, theatrical practices were very different than modern audiences are accustomed to. First Folio editions of Shakespeare's plays include all the cues an actor needs to perform his or her role without rehearsal. This allows the truest reaction to the story as it progresses, and lends a much more immediate, organic and improvisational feel to the performances.Come prepared to cheer, boo, and generally reply (as a group) to what you're seeing onstage - the OPS actors thrive on it! OPS is family-friendly (excluding the late-night shows), local, and FREE! For all performance dates, times, and locations go to opsfest.org. See you there!

We are aiming to get 1000 Lentils surveyed during the summer. You can help us reach that goal ! Come join us as we go out into the neighborhood and get neighbors to take part in our livability survey, which will help us and other groups better understand the current needs, concerns and assets of the neighborhood. It's a great opportunity to help lend a voice to the community. By talking to individuals we are able to provide a larger voice for the community and help provide better opportunities for advocacy and understanding. With our emphasis to connect to groups not normally engaged in community engagement efforts by visiting them at the door. It's a lot easier than you might think! We will go out in pairs and canvass the neighborhood. Neighbors are excited to share their thoughts and we can't wait to talk with them. Lunch and snacks will be provided! We will also be raffling off movie tickets to Academy Theater around noon, so volunteering enters you for a chance to win! Don't forget to RSVP! https://www.facebook.com/events/635051886653587/

OPS Fest is dedicated to bringing a new style of Shakespearean performance to Portland and the surrounding area, by reviving the old. Their actors perform using the same performance techniques as they did in Shakespeare's own time, which means limited rehearsal, an onstage prompter, fast-paced energetic acting, and lots of audience interaction!
