Every ticket purchased makes it possible for the programs and services of this vital community resource to continue to thrive! “When we gather on March 29th it will be to do much more than raise money. It will be a celebration of how Q Center’s programs and services change hearts and minds; how we provide safety for individuals to strengthen their lives,” states Barbara McCullough-Jones, Q Center Executive Director. “It is a celebration of our role as community convener and how we provide leadership for addressing the many issues that reflect Oregon’s LGBTQ experience. We gather because it is critically important to raise money to support the positive health and well-being of a community that gives so much to create the beautiful Oregon landscape. Exciting news! For the second year in a row, we will once again be offering an afterparty-only ticket as well as the VIP and General Admission ticket levels. Tickets for the afterparty are just $25 and are a very affordable way to take part in this really fun night of raising money to support the programs and services of Q Center! *NOTE: If you have already purchased tickets and tables to the dinner, admission to the afterparty is free! This year the afterparty starts at 9:30pm and features DJ Gino Mari on decks and dessert by Hungry Hero Dessert Co. For more info about this year's Winter Gala, please visit --- About DJ Gino Mari --- DJ Gino Mari, notorious frontman for Portland Electronic Rock Outfit The Gentry, likes to say he DJs “Eclectica” (meaning everything from synthpop to punk rock to crunk and disco. He does this all over the world in his spare time. He’s taken his records across the pond to Nebula (Lima, Peru’s largest nightclub) as well as parties in Florence, Italy and Vancouver, BC. Gino got his feet wet in Portland, Oregon’s industrial goth scene in 1997, DJing everywhere from the infamous Paris Theater to the goth room at The Escape. From there he started his own DJ night at the now defunct PDX staple La Luna. This propelled Mari into the world of party promotion and events like “Continuum”, “Sound & Vision” and “Oscillate” (Portland’s premier Electroclash Party). During this time Gino was also the resident DJ for Kumoricon Anime Festival/Dance Party. In the years that followed Gino redirected his focus and obsession with music to form his own recording studio (The Country Club) and tour with his band The Gentry (with whom he is currently in the studio with finishing a new record) and other Pacific NW artists like Logan Lynn, Menomena and The Hugs.
