oh it's quite true that many of us have reveled, revelated, sweated, sang, and shared beautiful memories in the gorgeous cobb sauna at Tryon Life Community Farm. This magnificent earthen form was built through the dedication of hundreds of hours, hands, and hearts of community members and Villiage Building Convergence Volunteers. It has flourished as a marvelous, rewarding, and celebrated community resource over the years. All that loving has seen the sauna fall into a bit of disrepair lately... so a bunch of us are going to get together and fix it up so we can start safely using it again as soon as possible! If you have enjoyed hosting or attending sauna events at the farm or you might like to in the future, please feel welcome join us. What needs to be done? + Fashioning and fasting ladders for the inside. + Re-positioning of the stove. + Repairing and replacing the stovepipe. + Updating the sparkguard. + Designing and re-configuring a scennario for the outdoor lighting scenario. + Sprucing up the changing area. + Landscaping outside the sauna. + Path maintenance. + General tidying/MOOPing. Please bring your own lunch. Over break, we will discuss the topic of how we as stewards, hosts, guests, and tenders attend to spiritually holding the container of the sauna space. Additionally, we will discuss intentions for the organizational and logistical aspects of collaboratively caring for this community resource! Your help will be greatly appreciated! We're going to have fun! We're going to bond! We will not run out of tasks! The tasks we complete will be gratifying! The forest will love to see you.
