We would like to invite you to this month's Rewilding Skill Series. The Rewilding Free Skills Series is a class & networking event that happens monthly, that usually occurs (but not always) on the last Saturday of the month. It is a place for social networking where people make new friends and hang out with old friends learning skills to connect us with humanity’s ancestral past and more local and sustainable future. We ask for a $5 – $10 suggested donation with no one turned away. Join us for a fun day of fixing up our axes and knives with our friend Alex Leavens. Alex has a company called Old Federal Ax Co. where he restores old axes. He also has an awesome DVD on how to use an Ax properly. Suggested Items to Bring: • Knife • Ax • Sharpening Stones • Strop • Sharpening stone oil (if applicable) Other stuff to bring is your family & friends, water, healthy snacks to share, a carving knife, a blanket or chair to sit on, materials for your project, a musical instrument to play and a $5-10 sliding scale suggested donation to support our efforts. Remember: “dress to impress”. This is a social event after all! Location: Larsen/Spear House6307 NE 8th Ave Portland, OR 97211 You'll know the house because the intersection repair painting has a Raccoon on their corner! This is a business and a home so please be respectful of the property. We will meet at 10:00pm. Instruction at 10:30am. Clean up and wrap up at 1:30pm. http://www.facebook.com/events/131654873671620/
