Black Women for Peace invite you to join them on Saturday, July 30, 2016 for an evening of youth empowerment through performing arts and cultural exchange. "JUST-US-SPEAKS" is the theme for this year's Peace Festival. This event will feature many talented youth age 12-25 from the Portland metropolitan area who will express themselves using spoken word, music and dance. *** We have launched a P.E.A.C.E movement, driven' by how we are livin'; Protecting the liberties of others as well as our own Educating ourselves that we may be our best and do our best. Actively listening to others in order to truly understand them, not to judge them. Choose to give grace when we have the opportunity to take offense. Extend ourselves to others as nd expect nothing in return. Checkout our website: We inspire our youth, as we lead by example! We are having our 3rd P.E.A.C.E Festival Saturday July 30th (doors open at 5). This event is Free and open to the public!!! But space is limited (thus tickets are required to reserve your seat-- you can get a ticket at ). ...and a note on cross cultural unity... Our P.E.A.C.E Festival calls youth from all across the city, youth with all different backgrounds, worldviews, experiences and insights! We have called our youth together surrounding this years theme: "JustUs speaks"! Giving our youth a platform with which they may individually and collectively share their hearts through the preforming arts...and invite the entire city in, to drink deeply of the powerful P.E.A.C.E, unity and community our youth have been empowered to create! With the hope that each attendee may leave this space with at least a seed, a little peice of that P.E.A.C.E, that they might be inspired, to carry it forward in thier own lives... Fa Real
