The Multnomah Youth Commission, the official youth policy body for Multnomah County and the City of Portland, invites youth 13 to 21 years old to our Youth Candidate Forum. This is an opportunity for youth ages 13-21 to interact with the candidates who could be representing them in local government. This event is designed to help youth get involved in local politics, as well as teach candidates about youth priorities. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss various issues, including the recent rise in violence against youth, candidates' budget priorities, and how the candidates will work to promote "Our Bill of Rights: Children + Youth" among others. At the end of the forum, all youth under age 21 will vote to decide the winner of the "youth vote" - who they want to have represent them on our city and county commissions . EVENT IS ENTIRELY FREE: REGISTRATION IS TO GET ENOUGH FOOD. BE SURE TO REGISTER IF YOU ARE COMING https://www.eventbrite.com/e/youth-candidate-forum-tickets-24439296594?ref=esfb For questions, you can contact MYC staff at Multnomahyouth@gmail.com or by Phone/ Text 503.823.1848
