In Portland, you gotta love the rain, and loving the rain is what this ride is all about! Portland's Bureau of Environmental Services works to manage storm water in a variety of ways. On this ride we will visit some of the more aesthic ways storm water is managed in Portland, stopping to admire ecoroofs, rain gardens and bioswales, plus we'll learn how these methods help improve bicycle paths in our neighborhoods. We will ride at a comfortable talking pace for the group. The ride will mostly follow neighborhood greenways with some sections on multi-use paths and bike lanes on busier roads. We will ride rain or shine, so this is a great route to practice your wet/cold weather riding skills if you are new to winter biking. Please dress appropriately for the ride, bring water and snacks. We will conclude our ride at Hair of the Dog Brewery at 61 SE Yamhill St. This ride is open to all women, female-identifying, trans, and gender-nonconforming people who enjoy biking (or think that they might).

It's 2016 and that means New Years Resolution time! Welcome the new year on your bike. We''ve specifically placed this ride in the 3rd week of the new year to help keep you motivated after the excitment and hangover from the holidays has passed. Join us for an easy ride down the Spring Water Corridor and back, followed by a BYOL (Buy your own lunch) at Lucky Lab Brewing on Hawthorne. They've got bento boxes, soup, salads and sandwiches, plus coffee, cocoa, beer and wine. Explore this awesome walking and biking path with a short turnaround loop in Sellwood.
