Healthy, thriving families lead to strong, resilient communities. When we are healthy, we are more likely to live fulfilling lives and contribute to a vibrant and productive Oregon. Yet an estimated 223,793 people continue to be uninsured in Oregon, including a disproportionate number of women, people of color, immigrants, indigenous and LGBTQ individuals. Join APANO for an interactive workshop to learn more about who still lacks affordable healthcare -- low-income families, legal permanent residents under the five year bar, citizens of Compact of Free Association (COFA) nations, undocumented immigrants, and all people who can get pregnant without truly accessible reproductive health coverage. We'll build a common understanding of health equity, discuss potential policy solutions, and provide opportunities to get involved with APANO's health campaign "Our Families, Our Health". Dinner will be provided starting at 5:30 PM; childcare can be provided upon request with one week's advance notice.
