Know Thy Food
What is cooperative culture? How do we embody it? What do we focus on? Social skills affect a group’s ability to manage and resolve conflicts, make decisions, and maintain a sense of general harmony. Maikwe Ludwig, the executive director of Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, invites you to explore a variety of conflict resolution models and social skills that can help your community thrive. This workshop introduces key skills that make cooperative endeavors more powerful, easy, and fulfilling for everyone involved. Ideal for people living in intentional community, doing progressive social change work and working on any cooperative endeavor. Skills that we focus on include: speaking and listening to be understood distinguishing between being heard and being agreed with finding the agreement in hard conversations developing compassion & self-awareness Come ready to stretch, laugh, and learn new skills! Ma’ikwe Ludwig is a pioneering sustainability educator, who, in addition to her work as DR, Inc.’s Executive Director, is head of Ecovillage Education US, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Fellowship for Intentional Community.
