Join Friends of Trees in its first ever planting at Milo McIver State Park in partnership with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. During this planting volunteers will plant islands of Oregon white oak and associated shrubs across the area known as the Upper Meadow. These efforts will be part of the first phase of meadow and oak-savannah restoration in the park. The park is located at S Entrance Road, Estacada, OR 97023 (map). Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun!
