Volunteer with the Oswego Lake Watershed Council as we plant native trees and shrubs along beautiful Springbrook Creek. This is a great opportunity to give back to the environment, meet others in the community, and experience a beautiful creek not often seen by the public! Please come dressed to work outside: long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. We work rain or shine and conditions can be muddy so be prepared! Tools, gloves, and snacks will be provided. No experience necessary and all ages welcome. Project Activities:: Invasive Plant Removal, Native Planting
Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9am-noon
Join us in our Habitat Enhancement work party! In this party, we are meeting next to the Hope Community Church to clear out invasive species along Springbrook Creek's riparian area. There will be plenty of snacks, beverages and tools! By working along one of the Lake's largest tributaries, this is a great opportunity to help restore native species and improve ecological resiliency within the watershed. Together, we will do great things! Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Native Planting, Education, Having Fun.
