We are in the midst of a major upheaval in the plant-based foods industry, driven by innovation and shifting consumer tastes. To meet the booming demand for plant-based foods, we need to build a powerful political movement. Come learn about the growth of the plant-based foods industry, the policy opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, and how you can support this exciting effort. Michele Simon has 20 years of experience in food and beverage law and policy. She is executive director of the Plant Based Foods Association, a trade group representing the nation's leading plant-based foods companies. She also offers legal advice to food companies on federal regulatory compliance for labeling and marketing, among other services. In addition to her law degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Michele has a master’s degree in public health from Yale University.
