The HELP will be hosting a free First Aid training provided by Rosehip Medic Collective. Snacks will be provided! Please help spread the word to nannies, maids, babysitters, household cooks and cleaners, and other domestic workers; or help us flyer in your area. This training covers the basics of first aid for minor illness/injury and emergencies. We will practice recognizing emergency situations, getting help, and do no harm first aid practices. We put emphasis on creating a safe learning environment for people of all backgrounds. ***Sign up here: http://jotform.us/form/33098420195152 The Household Employees League of Portland (The HELP) looks to unite people working in homes who would otherwise be isolated from one another. It is the hope of those involved with HELP that workers will be able to come together to find solutions to common problems and provide aid and support to one another. The HELP also coordinates low-cost and no-cost trainings for workers, as well as social meet-ups. The HELP is an initiative of the Portland branch of the Industrial Workers of the World. ----- The Rosehip Medic Collective is a group of volunteer Street Medics and health care activists based in Portland, Oregon.
