And the winner is... The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon and the 20th Annual Furball fundraiser! This year's theme is the ACATEMY Awards and the event will be held on May 5, 2018 at the Portland Art Museum. We expect more than 300 glamorous guests to attend this blockbuster auction and award ceremony. While we like to create a buzz around our events, the real achievement of the evening will be raising much-needed funds to spay/neuter feral and stray cats. Get ready for the red carpet and join us for a star-studded evening. Join local artist and Honorary Chair Tom Cramer, along with Emcee Matt Zaffino, who are already committed cast members. The evening will include silent and live auctions, raffles, wall of wine and a dessert auction. You'll enjoy light fare by Elephants Delicatessen, delicious local wine compliments of our good friends at Sokol Blosser Winery, and a very special FCCO beer made just for us by Rock Bottom Brewery. Live entertainment provided by Jumptown Big Band. The Furball is the largest annual fundraiser for the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon (FCCO) and it is critical to our ability to help thousands of cats in need each year. FCCO just reached its landmark 90,000th cat and helped 6,000 last year alone. No other programs in the area provide the services that we do. Through the ACATEMY Awards, we will raise funds to spay/neuter feral and stray cats, improve lives, and prevent future generations. It's not a rehearsal for these cats, and we all have an important role to fill. Thank you for not just sitting in the audience, but for acting on their behalf. For more information about the Furball contact Ashley at afoley@feralcats.com

This 2 week program will pick up where our Spring PDC left off, by implementing designs created by students during the prior two weeks. This year’s project will focus on homestead design and retrofit and including garden and landscape installation and upkeep, forest garden planting, greywater installation, light straw clay and earthen plaster systems. Students will have the opportunity to gain skills that they can use in their home and professional lives while experiencing the real-world nuances of various systems; gaining experience that informs better system design and planning.
