Pollinator Planting (Wilsonville)
Join us for the final of three plantings to improve habitat for pollinators! These plantings are all part of the Bee Stewards Wilsonville project in partnership with the City of Wilsonville; Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides; The West Linn Wilsonville School District, Center for Research in Environmental Sciences and Technology; Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation; Northwest Youth Corps; Habitat Landscape Design; Oregon State University North Willamette Research and Extension among others. This project is supported by Metro and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun!
Site conditions and age requirement: The planting area for this event is along a center median with busy car traffic on either side. We will have a safety buffer on the road and request that all planting volunteers be at least 14 years old.
