The University Orchestra is set to perform one last time this school year with "Premiere Performances" on April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Buckley Center Auditorium. The concert will feature guest soloist performances by UP seniors Catherine Jacobs, David Rogers, and Maddie Tran. The orchestra will be performing the debut of "Portland" which was written by composer Erich Stem specifically for the University Orchestra and the City of Portland.
About the University Orchestra
The University of Portland Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra. The ensemble is dedicated to exceptional performances of a wide variety of historical and contemporary orchestral literature, including works for string orchestra. Works for chorus and orchestra are performed in conjunction with the university choirs on a regular basis.
