The University of Portland presents Girls' Night Out, a women's choral concert, on April 26
The University of Portland Performing and Fine Arts Department presents Girls' Night Out, a celebration of women's choirs, on Wednesday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buckley Center Auditorium. This performance will feature the University Singers, with student conducting associates Jasmine Tsai and Lupita Zamora-Resendiz. Additionally, it will feature the Women's Chorale, directed by Kathryn Briggs, with student conducting associate Molly Kerns. Moreover, they will welcome the women's choirs from West Linn, Tigard, and Heritage High Schools. Each choir will perform separately then together in a rousing finale featuring Martin Shaw's traditional "With a Voice of Singing" and the hit made famous by The Andrews Sisters, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". This event is free and open to the public.
